Looks sleek, very eye-catching when I pull this out to sign something. I did not care for the ink supplied and instead chose to use Noodler's with the supplied adapter. I think I have stopped my search for the perfect pen as of this purchase.

I far prefer it to more expensive pens I own. The ink never gums up, it is easily refilled, and I, at least, like the look of the all-black. This pen writes beautifully and feels good in my hand, even though I have small hands. It is more the heft of a sharpie than a ballpoint, for comparison. I find the girth and heft make the pen more comfortable, but I can see why other reviewers might dislike the size.
Unfortunately, the metal does dent. I have been careful with my pen and keep it in a case, but it once fell from my purse and there is a 2 mm dent in the body now.

i was looking for a stylish, high quality all black fountain pen. i looked at the parker premier costing $375.oo and i decided to try the monteverde.
the pen is well balance and comfortable to hold. it is the smoothest pen i own, but at this price and for everyday use, it is a very good product at a very competitive price.
i think you should at least entertain it if your are looking for a quality pen
